March 2004
Saturday, March 27, 2004 - Have Court, Will Travel recasts the Randolphs!
Posted by QueenCate
Recently Have Court, Will Travel said goodbye to the actors who portrayed Geoffrey and Alice Randolph. Happily, we have found two very talented individuals to take their place.
Josh Kading is now playing Geoffrey Randolph, the Baron of Derby, Viscount of Melbourne and the Lord Steward of the royal household. As played by Josh, Geoffrey is a strong-willed individual who does not suffer fools gladly. Expect the rough edge of his tongue if you are not properly ingratiating upon meeting him.
Emily Brown is portraying Geoffrey's lovely wife, Alice Randolph, the Baroness of Derby, Viscountess of Melbourne and Lady in Waiting to her Majesty, Queen Catherine. As the Queen's godchild, Alice has the full force of the Queen's goodwill. Witty and intelligent, she is not shy about speaking her mind on any number of subjects and can put people in their place just as easily as her husband.
Have Court, Will Travel is excited about these two wonderful actors join our troupe. Be sure to make their acquaintance when you meet them at the Des Moines Renaissance Faire! (just don't forget to grovel) :-)

Thanks to our dear John Paul for adding a guestbook to this site. We invite all of our visitors, both new and returning, to sign in and tell us what you think of our webpage and where you are from. Have Court, Will Travel is growing in members and preparing for the fast approaching Des Moines Renaissance Faire and Coronation Pageant. If you are in Des Moines over Memorial Day Weekend, stop down to Water Works Park and see us in our first appearance of the renaissance festival season.
Sunday, March 7, 2004 - Have Court, Will Travel welcomes a Princess!
Posted by QueenCate
It is with great pleasure that we announce a new addition to our court. Clarissa Jarman has joined Have Court, Will Travel and has been cast in the role of Princess Margaret Anne, the youngest daughter of Queen Catherine and King Philip. Her father's favorite and a thorn in the side to many others, "Meggie" as the family calls her, can be quite trying at times. Sometimes vain and arrogant, sometimes sweet and funny, Princess Margaret's presence at this year's Des Moines Renaissance Festival and Coronation Pageant is very welcome.
A Des Moines high school student, Clarissa enjoys participating in theater and is an accomplished harpist. Stop by the royal pavillion and perhaps hear sweet music coming from her talented fingers! (much better than hearing snotty remarks coming from her pretty lips)
