August 2008

Tuesday, August 12, 2008 - A great performer lost

Posted by QueenCate

A wonderful actor from my days at the MN Renaissance Faire is gone. Joe (Snot of Puke and Snot) passed away unexpectedly on Monday morning. Mark (Puke) said it was the first time Joe had a good excuse for missing rehearsal. It looks like a heart attack.

Joe leaves behind his acting partner, his mom and a daughter along with hundreds of friends and millions of fans. Just thought you should know - if you ever visited the MN Renaissance Faire, you probably caught their show.

I am just honored to have been able to work on the same festival as Puke & Snot did for two seasons. I actually got to talk to Joe a couple of years ago when Allen Huffman and I were at the KC Ren Faire. I was thrilled he even remembered me after more than twenty years. No more Puke and Snot - its hard to believe. He was smart, funny and a sweet man.

When emailing Mark (Puke) today, I said I'm sure that Joe is in heaven, sitting around with another great man from the MN Renaissance Faire, the former artistic director, Lee Walker. They're probably catching up on all sorts of things while enjoying a cold brew.

Old friends, I salute you!
